Stainless steel stick electrode E316l-16
E316L-16 is a rutile-coated, low-carbon stainless steel electrode designed for welding 316 and 316L stainless steels. It contains molybdenum to provide enhanced resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride-containing environments. The low carbon content minimizes the risk of intergranular corrosion, making it ideal for welding stainless components used in highly corrosive conditions. It offers excellent arc stability, smooth bead appearance, and easy slag removal. Operates on both AC and DC current and is suitable for all-position welding.
Standards: AWS A5.4 E316L-16
The low carbon content (<0.03%) helps minimize carbide precipitation, prevent intergranular corrosion and improve long-term weld durability.
Alloyed with molybdenum for excellent resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and general corrosion in harsh chemical or marine environments.
Stable arc performance with low spatter and easy slag removal, producing neat, high-quality welds with minimal post-weld cleanup.
